10. Robin/Starfire, “Suicidal Gotcha”
OH LIKE NONE OF YOU SAW THIS ONE COMING.
The Scene: The Titans are stranded on an alien planet. Robin and Starfire have been having misunderstandings about the nature of their relationship. It even makes Starfire confused enough to sap her of her powers. The Monster of the Week interrupts their awkward and adorable sorting out of their feelings for each other and they get to be awesomely Battle Couple against it. Then, with their backs to the wall (or the chasm rather), they’re left with a Fly or Die option. Starfire looks unsure a moment, but Robin takes her hand and tells her that as long as they’re together they’ll be all right. Her unbridled joy restored, she leaps off the ledge with him and then flies him to safety while the monster falls to his doom. And then they just look at each other and hug.
Why I love it: My OTP getting to be an epic Battle Couple. Duh. Plus just the fact that Robin trusts her so much and he knows she won’t let him fall and her elation at hearing the closest equivalent to an “I love you.” the emotionally inept Robin is capable of and just… ngah! They are too precious.
“Robin is always there for me.” She smiles happily.

“I did the teaching? Merely for my own life? I am greatly excited to know I have helped!” She giggles and twirls around in the air.
This was one of the more horrifying episodes. But I do so love the dialogue.

“She is the confused, greatly…”
“Neverland? I have not heard of this place! It is nice?” She asks tilting her head. “Oh, you have the animal friends? What types do you do the hanging out with? I have a little bumgorf, a maggot named Silkie!” She giggles. “He is such the adorable! You do the maneuvers upon one another’s hair? Oh, I would very much enjoy joining you some time!” She smiles brightly. “Friend Raven is another member of the Teen Titans. She is one of my best friends. Her poetry is the depressing. Little stories that are sad. She says they are beautiful, but I am not sure.”
“Pizza is glorious! You just must experience the tasting of it!” She chirps happily. “OH there are the cities? You do not wish to do the exploring of them? What is it you do for the fun? Do you do the braiding maneuvers upon one another’s hair? Share the depressing poetry? Friend Raven does that very much.”
Starfire giggled and trailed her fingers in the water. “It is most beautiful. Though, you do not have the cities underwater, do you?” She tilts her head curiously. “And what do you eat? Surely you are not familiar with the pizza?”
She giggles. “I am Starfire of Tamaran. I must offer apologies, I was so excited I forgot to do the introduction.” She thinks a moment. “What is it like, to live in water?”
